Gionet Photography is the Visual Spokesperson for Many Clients
Let’s talk about the unique challenge an architectural photographer has. Capture, handle, and delivery- What does this mean in photography and does it really matter? Well, if you are giving me a new Porsche it may not matter how you got it to my driveway, as long as it was legal and not damaged. It would still be a beautiful shiny Porsche. But with photography it matters a lot and especially architectural photography.
Think of it this way, my wife has a beautiful rose garden in our back yard. Does it matter how you capture, handle, and deliver those flowers? She will pick a mixture of flowers, some greenery, and make a beautiful flower arrangement for our home. It looks awesome. And sometimes my Labrador puppy will pick some flowers from the same garden and make an arrangement on the carpet in our house. Same Flowers but very different appear.
With architectural photography it is especially true. The method of capture, processing and delivery makes or breaks the subject. It is essential to have the right balance of light, color, texture, and composition to create an appealing image.
You may look at your property and think wow, the architecture looks great, it is freshly painted, the lobby has been remodeled, and it looks fantastic. Let’s get some photography, and let the world see what we have. You may think if people could feel the mood you are experiencing when you stand there, they would come in droves. You get your photography done, look at the images and the wind falls out of your sails, a little ho hum. What happened? All the elements are there, but something is mission. It’s the capture techniques, lighting, time of day, perspective, etc. It’s also the editing. There are two artistic levels to work with, how you capture the image and how you edit the image. The flowers may be the same, but the presentation can be very different. Think of a florist and a puppy.
In addition to my many years of experience, I have the latest equipment, and the most up to date editing software. Equipment and technique is very important, but even more important than that is being able to connect to the design and allure of the property, as well as the goals of my client. So please give me a chance to be your visual spokesperson and let’s show the world what you have to offer.
